Baphiste's Gradients for Gradient Map Coloring V1: Skin
Hey there!
This time I'm sharing with you guys a set of gradients made for Adobe Photoshop, these are specifically for .
This description might not make any sense to some of you, so here I'm sharing this wonderful video made by Marc Brunet explaining how this method works:
This second video, made by Aaron Griffin also shows a very neat trick on how to use Gradient Maps to quickly add light sources to drawings.
TL:DW:
- Make sure you have a good grayscale render of the character you want to paint.
- Apply the Gradient Maps using masks to cover the particular areas in your character you want to color.
- Depending on your particular render, you might have to adjust the range of each color in the gradient manually. You can also change the blending mode of the adjustment layer depending on your particular case/liking.
This set includes:
- 1x *.grd file including 71 Gradients mainly focused on Skin Tones.
I made this set to paint my artworks quickly, and since in my case my characters are usually showing a lot of skin I needed a set like this one the most. I'll see if I can create some more sets for general purposes, but until then, thank you for reading, and I hope this helps.
